A Regional Study of Emergency Department Visits for Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, 1996–2008
Conclusion: Similar to a previous study, we found no statistically significant change in the rate of visits to the ED for acute exacerbations of COPD or of intubation.
