Srivastava The alkaline hydrolysis of hydrophobic triphenylmethane dye (ethyl violet) is inhibited in sodium dodecyl sulfate mixed micellar systems with various nonionic surfactants, due to repulsion of OH#x00AF; ions by the negatively charged micellar aggregates.
