A diagnostic dilemma between psychosis and post-traumatic stress disorder: a case report and review of the literature
Conclusions: There are many factors responsible for the symptoms that occur in response to a traumatic event, including cognitive, affective and environmental factors. These factors may predispose both to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder and/or psychotic disorders. The independent diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder with psychotic features remains an open issue. Potential Regulatory Role of Calsequestrin in Platelet Ca2+ Homeostasis and its Association with Platelet Hyperactivity in Diabetes Mellitus
Conclusion: Downregulation of CSQ‐1 in diabetic platelets and impairment of CSQ‐1 in normal cells leads to disturbed Ca2+ release, demonstrating a potential role for CSQ‐1 in the regulation of the platelet Ca2+ release process and a possible causal contributor to diabetic platelet hyperactivity.
